Agustin Baes Corro III, RN, MD

Dr. Agustin Baes Corro III is a physician with strong clinical, academic, and research experience, serving as a tutor in Obstetrics and Gynecology and selected Internal Medicine modules. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Perpetual Help Rizal – JONELTA Foundation School of Medicine, completed his postgraduate internship at Philippine General Hospital, and finished his OB-GYNE residency training at UP–Philippine General Hospital (2020–2025).
He combines rigorous training with real-world patient care, supported by ongoing professional development through major OB-GYNE courses, workshops, and international congresses, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists World Congress and the International Menopause Society World Congress. Beyond clinical work, he has a strong research background, with presentations on menopause and women’s health recognized in competitions at UP-PGH and other venues, along with contributions to academic publications and poster presentations locally and internationally.
At AMEX Review Center, he teaches OB-GYNE and selected topics in Internal Medicine such
as Infectious Disease, Hematology-Oncology, Rheumatology, and Dermatology. Known for his structured approach, he helps students develop deeper clinical understanding, stronger reasoning, and improved exam performance.
Dr. Cezar Jaime Morgado Ortiz, MD, MBA

Dr. Jay Ortiz is the Internal Medicine Tutor of AMEX review center, covering high-yield areas
such as Cardiology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, and Neurology. A board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist, he earned both his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health and completed his residency at World Citi Medical Center.
He also successfully passed the AMC MCQ, giving him firsthand insight into the exam’s
structure, reasoning style, and common pitfalls. This allows him to teach not just content, but effective test-taking strategies tailored for aspiring international medical graduates.
Dr. Ortiz is known for his structured, practical, and reasoning-driven approach. Through case-based discussions and high-yield MCQs, he helps students simplify complex concepts, sharpen clinical judgment, and improve exam performance. He also has a background in research and evidence-based medicine, reinforcing his focus on logical and clinically sound decision-making.
Dr. William Jayson Portillo Chan, MD

Dr. William Jayson Portillo Chan is a physician whose journey reflects the discipline,
perseverance, and excellence required to succeed in the Australian IMG pathway. He achieved a score of 263 in AMC Step 1, placing in the Top 1/3 of candidates—an accomplishment that highlights both his strong medical foundation and mastery of exam strategy.
With over 5 years of postgraduate experience across general practice, emergency medicine,
inpatient care, telehealth, and military service, he has developed a well-rounded, patient-
centered, and adaptable clinical approach.
Currently based in Sydney, Australia as a hospital medical officer, he continues to align his
clinical practice with Australian standards, including RACGP, RCH, and eTG guidelines. As a
Filipino doctor who has successfully navigated the AMC pathway, he deeply understands the challenges, uncertainty, and pressure faced by international medical graduates.
Dr. Karine Camille H. Joson, MD, DSBPP

Dr. Karine Camille Joson is a physician and psychiatrist who serves as a tutor for Ethics and
Mental Health at the review center. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from De La Salle Health Sciences Institute and holds a Pharmacy degree from University of Santo Tomas, giving her a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and therapeutics.
She has successfully passed both the Australian Medical Council (AMC) MCQ and Clinical
Examinations, bringing valuable firsthand insight into the IMG pathway. She also gained
Australian clinical exposure through her work at Lyell McEwin Hospital, where she was able to align her practice with Australian clinical standards and healthcare systems.
Her combination of psychiatric expertise, Australian exam success, and clinical exposure makes her a valuable mentor for students preparing for both the AMC exams and the realities of medical practice in Australia.
Dr. Nephritery Joy Jimenez, MD

Dr. Nephitery Joy Jimenez is a physician with broad clinical experience across general practice, occupational health, emergency care, community medicine, and aesthetic medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from De La Salle Health Sciences Institute and completed her postgraduate internship at Rizal Medical Center, with clinical rotations in Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, and Radiology.
She has served as a General Practitioner and Occupational Health Physician in multiple healthcare and corporate health settings, including Maxicare Health Services, Hinduja Global Solutions, ActiveOne Health, and New Sinai MDI Hospital. Her work involved patient assessment, acute care, medication administration, minor procedures, health reporting, and occupational health support.
With her practical frontline experience, Dr. Jimenez brings a grounded and patient-centered approach to teaching. She helps learners connect core clinical concepts with real-world decision-making, strengthening their confidence in assessment, management, and safe clinical practice.
